On the Hunt: Lent 2016

On the hunt for . . . . .a more caring world.

For the next 40 days we’ll be looking around more closely than usual. We’ll think about others more carefully than we usually do. We’ll be thankful for all the good things in our lives more often than we usually do. We’ll try to be more caring than we usually are.

And, in all of our looking, thinking, thanking and caring, we’ll likely experience God more closely than we usually do.

The next 40 days (not including Sundays) is a time called Lent. It is the church’s special season to do things differently than we usually do.

Today, color/draw or write about your vision for a more caring world. What would it look like? How would people act? What would be different if our world looked the way that God wants it to look?

Then, start noticing all the times and places you see caring. Someone showing a kindness. Someone sharing a hug. People recycling. Let's start noticing all the times and places we see caring -- we see God -- in the world.
